Welcome to CATTERY DADDY LONGTAIL

We are Liesbeth (mother) and Annelies (daughter), and we have had cats all our lives.
When Liesbeth found a red cat in 1995 she fell in love straight away! She named her
Sientje. Sientje was desperate in need of care and she wasn’t well fed at all.
So Liesbeth decided to look after her. At the time we didn’t know what kind of cat breed
she was, we only knew that she was beautiful with long hair and a big tail. Later we
learned that Sientje was a Maine Coon.

After Sientje died of old age, we went looking for a new Maine Coon cat. But we just couldn’t stop. A second one came and then a third… By gaining information en having
a lot of help from a few wonderful breeders in the Netherlands and abroad, in time,
we became the proud cattery Daddy Longtail we are today. We are now a member of
TICA USA, Cats and Tulips, RCM and NLKV.

Our goal is to breed responsibly. We think it is very important to breed a beautiful,
healthy and strong breed and keep this wonderful Maine Coon that way.
We breed Maine Coons but also Foundation Maine Coons and Polydactyl Maine Coons
or a combination. Our Maine Coons are tested HCM, PKD, SMA, HD, PL, FIV and FELV.

We are hobby breeders. When we have a litter, we look after them with a lot of love,
attention and care. Our kittens live and play in our house, so they always get a lot of
attention. This will help them to be more socialised when they move to their new home.
Our male has his own run in the garden and the females live in house and our
enclosed garden. Our Maine Coons are fed with Carnibest (raw meet) and Royal Canin.
When the kittens are ready to move to their new home, they will have an identification
chip, pedigree, health statement from the vet, passport and a kitten package with fun
stuff. The kittens will have been vaccinated twice and they will have had several worm
treatments and flea treatments. It is very important for us that all our kittens find a good
home, where they are well looked after and loved. If you are interested in one of our
kittens and you phone or email us, please tell us a bit about yourself, so we know a little
more about you. You can ask us anything. And you can keep asking us anything after
your kitten has moved to your home, for as long as you want or need. We work with a
contract to protect you, us and especially the kitten.

Feel welcome to have a look around on our website. If you have any questions or if you would like to come and visit our cattery, please don’t hesitate to phone or email us.

Best regards,
